The Walking4Norfolk event starts on May 12th!
Working as a team of five, participants log their steps to complete the 375-mile walk from Norwich Cathedral to Notre-Dame, Paris (virtually, of course). Each member logs their steps online and this will successfully transport their team pin along the mapping system. Teams work at their own pace, walking in their local area following government guidelines for Covid-19.
This is a fun opportunity for a group of friends to raise money for the Walking4Norfolk Fund for Unpaid Carers (you can fundraise for a charity of your choice with an optional entrance fee of £30 per head) all while getting some steps in! Unpaid careers have kept our neighbourhoods going during the coronavirus pandemic, providing support to ill, older, or disabled family members, friends, partners and neighbours.
Getting outside and exercising is great for your wellbeing and mental health. Walking4Norfolk also helps you feel more connected to others by working as part of a team and joining the friendly community of people taking part.
Looking after your mental health and wellbeing doesn’t have to be something you do alone; support yourself and others by putting one foot in front of the other and fundraising for a positive cause. Perhaps you and your neighbours could create a team, and sign up?
